Hey There,
I saw your post on Craigslist for a PHP Developer. I'd love to find out more as I recently upgraded my own server, as well as one of my client's server to PHP 7.1 from PHP 5.6, successfully and really enjoy taking advantage of some of the new PHP 7 features, and most notably a huge improvement in speed. I've also worked with custom built PHP projects and know how to navigate my around different codebase and folder structures and not afraid to dive in and figure things out.
To give ya some more background on my experience, I've launched several complex MVP's for small startups and enterprise clients which have helped them achieve their goals such as bringing on seed money and growing an active user base to bring in revenue. My clients include The Oyster Common, Strong Analytics, Eat In Chef & Bond. For Eat In Chef, I was able to build a personal chef booking service from scratch to help chefs build their own businesses and allow customers to find and book personal chefs for their special occasions.. The core tech stack was Laravel, MySQL, Bootstrap, jQuery, React, and Redux. I also managed the servers using Laravel Forge, Digital Ocean, and AWS. While I usually like to keep the code simple, I found using React & Redux was a good fit in certain places on the site that involved a lot of complexity, such as the advanced search filtering and Chef booking process, and for the rest of the site I used small vanilla JavaScript & jQuery components I built from scratch or utilized Bootstrap.
I've also been brought on to improve and maintain existing projects as well, most notably with JPD Studio & Play Nice Together. You can check out more of my work at https://larrylaski.com.
Just to make sure I don't waste your time, I typically work on a flat project rate or weekly rate, but am open to an hourly rate of $85 if you would prefer to handle compensation hourly. I'm also base in NYC but am very comfortable working remotely as I do so with almost all of my clients and can provide weekly updates, as well as be available most days via Slack. The next step would be a 15 - 30 minute call to chat about project details and see if we would be a good fit. You can schedule a call with me at https://calendly.com/larry-laski/30-minute-meeting.
Regards,
Larry
